Beijing Flower of Sustainability
Residency Project at Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) in Beijing with the "studio 10" from 9-13 October 2008
Concept
Oleg Koefoed
An action philosophical reframing of sustainability: Presenting a discussion and reworking of the concepts of sustainability and movement, will changes the role of art as action and practical form for changing perceptions and action patterns. The world (Yi, Shi, Zhu, and Xing) is seen once again from the point of view of movements, of eventualities (micro-processes of ontological change that form into events), and of intensities/affects.
Insa Winkler
Aspects of environmental general conceptions: In the future, the urban planning will be designed through the relation of nature and culture and inspired by art. The concepts of Yi, Shi, Zhu, and Xing will all be reflected through the functions and complexity of everyday life. The creativity of environmental design (water management, energy, materials, tools, waste, culture, heritage, tradition, avant-garde, business, work, time etc.) will be related to food, closing, housing, and transport.
